Dr. Rhonda Glanzer
Dr. Rhonda Glanzer grew up on a farm/ranch in South Dakota which is where she got her love for animals. Growing up she helped her family with the beef and dairy cows, pigs, and field work. Calving season was her favorite time of year. She attended South Dakota State University and majored in Animal Science. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 2002. After graduation, she moved to Texas because she didn’t want to deal with the South Dakota winters. Dr. Glanzer enjoys soft tissue surgeries and seeing emergency/critical care cases. She loves the challenge those cases present.
Dr. Glanzer has 2 horses – Lexi and Fire, which she barrel races with. She has 2 barn cats – Coal and Sherbert, and a Great Dane named Strait who is her barrel racing travel partner. When she is not working, she stays busy volunteering. She is the Project Leader for her church for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child as well as a greeter on Sundays. She also volunteers on the Chamber County Go Texan Committee for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo which raises scholarship money for the youth of Chambers County. Dr. Glanzer also enjoys promoting Thrive, which is a health and wellness product line. She loves to travel and spend time on the beach and to visit her family in South Dakota.
