Shelby was born and raised in Southeast Texas. She always knew she wanted to work with animals, even from a young age. Shelby began her first job in a private practice in 2016 as a receptionist and realized that her love for animals was calling for her to be more hands on.
Shelby decided to join the DAC family in October 2017 and started training for her Veterinary Assistant Certificate, which she received in November 2018. She is planning to continue her education so she can give every pet the best care possible.
Shelby and her husband Conor have their hands full with their two dogs; Roxie Roux and Shiro and their two cats; Katarina and Leesi. In their free time they can be found at concerts, comic book conventions or Renaissance Festival!
